  17. that ecoconsciousness is skyrocketing, consider the case of 50
  18. Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth, a slim paperback
  19. book that provides its reader with tips on how to protect the
  20. environment. Published in November by Berkeley's EarthWorks
  21. Press, the book had a first printing of 26,000 copies, which
  22. sold out within days. The 75,000 copies from the second and
  23. third printings are also being quickly gobbled up. The only
  24. obstacle to even larger printings: author John Javna will only
  25. allow the book to be printed on recycled paper, a scarce
  26. commodity in bulk quantity.
